Supporting learners to think spatially means considering learning environment designs that provide the imaginative mental states about concepts of space, tools of representation, and processes of reasoning that underlie more formal thought (Waller, 2014).
In our current research, we have attempted to explore the utility of these design principles for development and for research with an embodied interface that helps learners to apprehend spatial concepts and tools of representation in the discipline of organic chemistry.
