As I began to write this blog, I came across a piece just written this week by Raymond Ankrum, a principal who blogs at Urban EdTalk.
The second time was this week, to enable me to write this blog.
And here I am too, trying to write this blog.
I see the opportunity to write this blog as part of leaving a positive footprint.
My weight is good, I don't smoke, I only drink enough to write this blog.
It's been several months since I promised to write this blog on Sacred Hunger, the book that shared the 1992 Booker Prize with The English Patient.

And, thanks to writing this blog post, I also finally got around to ordering "The Theory That Would Not Die," a book I've been meaning to pick up for several months.
So I decided to write this tiny blog where I (hopefully!) inspire a micro- kindness movement.
I hesitate to write this because blogs like this usually involve some cheesy rah, rah advice that's not practical for making it in this messed world we live in today.
Despite holding down a job as an ambulance driver and being in the third year of his degree, David still made time to pitch and write this blog for us - and we're thrilled that he did!
I didn't write this blog to be mean - I wrote it to try to help EDUCATE new graduates about what to include - and what NOT to include - on their resumes if they actually want to get hired in this competitive marketplace.
