This value is similar to those reported for chicken (2.2/1), duck (2.3/1), and slightly higher than that for the great tit (1.7/1) [ 39, 40].

Therefore we carried out our computations using cone proportions of the blue tit (0.37 0.71 1 1; VS S M L) as representative for U-type eyes and of the peafowl (0.47 0.89 1.04:1) for V-type eyes (as in [ 74]).
