With Vancouver's weed policies changing in the summer I thought it quite good timing to have one final hurrah and make the most of Vancouver's lawless weed culture that surely, once legalized, won't have any free birthday weed in sight.
The two shows, in their timing, attest to one nice effect of today's ravening art market: the scramble of dealers and collectors for undervalued goods, which affords the rest of us fresh encounters with the artists who made them.
