These values corresponded to sensitivity and specificity for the primary definition of 38.2% and 97.4%, suggesting RP from initial normal eGFR levels is not a good marker for subsequent CKD, within the timeframes analysed in this study.
The coordination of primordium production with leaf appearance is such that the latter provides a useful timeframe for analysing the former (Kirby, 1990; Brooking and Jamieson, 2002), especially when current leaf number is expressed using the decimal Haun stage (HS; Haun, 1973) to give more precision – effectively defining 'developmental time'.
