An Unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (URANS) Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model is proposed in order to provide wind turbine manufacturers with a reliable simulation tool to forecast the power conversion characteristics of vertical axis wind turbine prototypes that operate in tilted conditions.
