The phrase "through practising" is correct and usable in written English.
It is often used to show the means by which something is achieved or learned. Example: The student improved his piano skills through practising every day for two hours. Another example: She became a skilled baker through practising and experimenting with different recipes.
Through practising mindfulness in her own daily life, she has discovered how much time she can sit at her computer without a flare-up - "I wrote both of my books in bursts of 20 minutes," she says.
