Here we address three misconceptions stated by Rice et al. in their observations of our article Paz-y-Miño and Espinosa (Evo Edu Outreach 2 655 675, 2009), published in this journal.
Only 23.7% (n = 18) of participants who completed all four statements (n = 76) lacked misconceptions related to any of the four statements, whereas 42.1% (n = 32) held one misconception; 27.6% (n = 21), two misconceptions; and 6.6% (n = 5), three misconceptions.
Although 41.3% (n = 31) of participants who completed all four statements (n = 75) lacked misconceptions related to any of the four statements, 33.3% (n = 25) held one misconception; 13.3% (n = 10), two misconceptions; and 12.0% (n = 9), three misconceptions.
