Various characteristics of the 6 HAs used in this study have been discussed previously.[3, 10 12, 15] Relevant information on these materials, in addition to the isolation procedures reported above, includes: LSLHA: this is a soil HA, considered to be comprised of flexible polymers containing numerous saturated hydrocarbon links.
The study design and statistical methods for this study have been discussed with the U.S. FDA.
The general aspects, limitations and strengths of this study have been discussed in details elsewhere [9, 15].
It is interesting to observe that some of the differentially expressed genes in this study have been discussed in other Treg gene expression studies, in both the physiological and disease contexts.
