This was stabilised with an 18-hole lateral femoral plate with 2 partially threaded cancellous screws distally to compress the intercondylar split (Fig. 1).
Untagged G proteins were incubated with 100 µM GDP for 45 min at 37°C to ensure that all the G protein was in the GDP bound state and this was stabilised by the addition of 10 mM MgCl2.
As discussed elsewhere (Zaros et al, 2007), this fold is stabilised by the C-end of the Rpb5 subunit, itself strongly conserved from archaea to eukaryotes.
Taken together, these results indicate that a central domain of Tpz1 encompassing amino acids 243 420 is sufficient to promote an interaction with Stn1 and that this interaction is stabilised by Ten1.

Thus, whilst both RNA foci and DPRs are derived from the same RNA molecules, the processes by which this RNA is stabilised into a focus or exported for translation are probably different or even mutually exclusive indeed work from Gendron et al. [ 9] suggested that this might be the case.
This conformation is stabilised by an intramolecular H-bond between the N6 atom of the adenosine and the N1 atom of the isoalloxazine rings, and by stacking of an aromatic side chain against the carboxy-terminal extension and the adenosine moiety.
The polarity of this side chain is stabilised by hydrogen bonds to side chains of Tyr56, Tyr136, and Trp111 (Figure 4B).
By contrast, the present structure shows that this carboxylate group is stabilised by hydrogen-bonding interactions with the side chain of the natural N-terminal residue of mature boophilin, BQ16 (see Figure 8B for a schematic representation of major thrombin-boophilin interactions).
For both Spy0128 and Cpa, this Ig-like domain is stabilised by a covalent isopeptide cross-link just prior to the sortase recognition peptide.
