In addition, especially for the OCT retinal imaging, the retina and choroid have thick multi-layered structures with a thickness of around 0.6 mm, and hence a long focal range is required.
The graphene-tissue composites developed here have a thickness of around 60 µm and areal densities in the 0.6 2.4 mg cm−2 range.
