That is, the main sequence band develops a thickness on the HR diagram; it is not simply a narrow line.

In Fig. 1, a schematic diagram of the film thickness measurement technique is shown.
A biphase diagram (reciprocal of bilayer thickness vs composition) has been developed for the multilayers produced by magnetron sputtering.
