For Leyland, wood density declined rapidly from a mean of 570 kg.m−3 at ring 1 to a mean of 470 kg.m−3 at ring 3. Thereafter, mean ring density of the Leyland taxon was approximately 450 kg.m−3, though there was considerable variation (extending to about ±100 kg.m−3) due to individual trees.
The peak of the pleasure ratings coincided with the chills response, and decreased significantly thereafter (mean difference = −0.9, p<.001).
These variables were compared by using oneway analysis of variance and thereafter mean comparisons were made using Student t-tests adjusted to have an α level of 0.05.
As shown on Fig. 1, CK-MB and TnI levels did not differ between groups and, as expected, were significantly elevated two hours after the induction of the MI, returning to baseline thereafter (mean CK-MB 3.8 ± 1.9 to 29.2 ± 7.1 μg/L, p < 0.01; and mean TnI 0.48 ± 0.07 to 22.5 ± 2.3 μg/L, p < 0.01).
The ARM has lower costs over 5 years but higher costs thereafter, which means that there must be a break-even period.
