We've learned how hurtful it is to families where there are disabilities, and now we clamp down on it on the site – and we'd like others to do the same.
Of course there are disabilities, many of them, that are worse than hearing loss, but being suddenly cut off - when all your life you have enjoyed being gregarious and when you have spent 40 years of your life in the communications business - can be painful and traumatic.
There's so many other diversities, there's faith, there's cultures, there's age, there's disabilities, there's sexual orientation, there's if you're introvert, extrovert, if you're a business person, if you're an engineer, if you're someone coming from an unprivileged geography.
But the truth is, there are disabilities that keep me and many others from doing so many things regardless of how awesome our attitude is.
If you are disabled, note that there is no disability benefits in Canada, and you may have to rely on friends or relatives for income.
For every parent of a child with a disability there is the moment they are given the news.
Meanwhile it is still not known how much headache – or headache-related disability – there is in the world.

Do persons with different disabling traits have enough in common to claim that there is a "disability perspective" to bring to bear on policy and research?
