A design of such an infrastructure, sometimes referred to as surgical PACS, but better defined as a Therapy Imaging and Model Management System (TIMMS), will be introduced in this article.

After initiation of the therapy (bottom image), tracer uptake resolved, while the size of the metastases did not change.
The technologic advances, such as intensity modulated radiation therapy and image guided radiation have resulted in a modern era for this oncologic modality.
