Analysis was thematic by intervention component, and under the general themes of acceptability feasibility, impact, and suggestions for improvement.
The qualitative data were manually coded under the general themes of acceptability (things liked and not liked), feasibility (barriers and facilitators), impact (positive and negative), and suggestions for improvement.
A framework analysis was conducted: codes were applied for each of the programme activities, the SHC as an agent of delivery and the overall programme, and for the themes of acceptability ('things liked', 'things not liked'), feasibility ('feasible'notnot feasible'barriers'rs'facilitatorsors'), impact ('positive effects', 'negative effects'), and suggestions for improvement.

This allowed for the identification of both novel and expected issues within the broad themes of implementation, acceptability and perceived benefits, and facilitated comparison between health professionals and patients.
Four themes on acceptability emerged, (i) participants' satisfaction with the intervention (with a variety of measures used to assess satisfaction); (ii) participation rates; (iii) barriers to acceptability; and (iv) facilitators of acceptability.
The groups were instructed to review the questions in the tools to ensure that the themes of concept validity, acceptability, and comprehension in the pamphlets were clearly being assessed.

In a final stage, LS grouped identified themes and sub-themes according to research questions relating to the criteria of acceptability, appropriateness and potential active ingredients (Table 2).
