This year's themes will include conflict resolution and helping children overcome differences amicably.
Other themes will include the Great Fire of London, William Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, the Queen's 90th birthday and the first world war.
At New York Presbyterian the themes will revolve around literature, and at the Maria Fareri Hospital the themes will include music, painting and the four seasons.
(If that sounds like a contradiction in terms, picture a scene that starts with Shakespeare, but can -- and will -- go anywhere.) Other themes will include dance improvisation, African dance, Indian dance, musical theater and "How to Audition," in which Ruth Henry shows how to present a monologue with a steady voice (and knees).
We'll announce more details about the speaker line-up and the event program in the coming weeks, but for now we can say that the central themes will include artificial intelligence and machine learning, fintech and payments, hardware and internet-of-things, health and biotech, gaming, e-commerce, mobility and transportation and more.
Major analysis themes will include speciation, molecular evolution, chemoreception, circadian rhythm, development, immunity, insecticide resistance, metabolism, repetitive elements, reproduction, the sialome, inversions and chromosomal architectures, neuropeptides, blood/sugar digestion, and transcriptional regulation.
The new $500-million theme land will include Hogsmeade Village, Hogwarts Castle and the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.
Described as a "Disneyland in Africa," the $300 million theme park will include conference centers, hotels, and restaurants, according to the BBC.
Writers who will perform their Sept. 11-themed works will include Tom Obrzut, Abd al-Hayy, Mary Shanley, Eliot Katz, Eve Packer, Al Sullivan and Danny Shot.
Highlights of the Opry-themed programming will include the Oct. 1 induction of Dierks Bentley, left, as the youngest member of the Opry and five half-hour specials about the Opry and its past, among them "Firsts" and "Greatest Moments".
