The EEP has been designed to contribute to the job competitiveness of the future Engineers providing value to their employability and self-employment generation based on ethical and responsible action.
It also meant those who did it could demonstrate their employability to prospective employers.
By and large, HEIs have struggled to make their students more employable and specifically, nurture their employability skills to the standards that satisfy employer expectations (Robst 2007; Hinchliffe & Jolly, 2011).

Allen's research backs this up – of the 500 people who have answered Further&More's survey so far, 79% of respondents said they did not feel they could ask their employer to job share without it affecting their employability.
