Indeed, while the conceptual model underlying satisfaction suggests that it should be measured against expectations [ 35], HRQoL is by definition related to a specific condition or disease and is a multidimensional construct requiring the measurement of physical functioning, mental functioning, social functioning and emotional well-being [ 36, 37].
