The cis-acting motifs in the gene promoters (1000 bp upstream of ATG) of the 2,869 transcripts in eight transcriptomics clusters, were evaluated using PLACE: A Database of Plant Cis-acting Regulatory DNA Elements http://www.dna.affrc.go.jp/PLACE/signalup.html.jp/PLACE/signalup.html
The significance of the clusters was evaluated by parametric bootstrap.
The clusters are evaluated; clusters with fewer than three members are dropped and clusters where the standard deviation of the internal distances is above an empirically determined threshold are split.
The five clusters were named euglycemia cluster, hypoglycemia cluster, semihyperglycemia cluster, hyperglycemia cluster, and glucose fluctuation cluster, based on the elements in each cluster (Fig. 1).
Eight SNPs from the CHRNA5-CHRNA3-CHRNB4 gene cluster were evaluated on a clinical sample of 403 adults with ADHD.
Two representative miRNAs from each cluster were evaluated using a miR qPCR-based method to quantify expression changes at different reprogramming stages namely days 0, 4, 8 and 12 following transduction of the OSKM factors.
The three clusters are weak-similarity cluster, average-similarity cluster, and strong-similarity cluster.
The quality of clustering is evaluated by the correspondence between families and clusters.
The accuracy of the conformer models before and after clustering was evaluated using five different measures: root-mean-square distance (RMSD), shape-optimized shape-Tanimoto (ST ST-opt ) and combo-Tanimoto (ComboT ST-opt ), and color-optimized color-Tanimoto (CT CT-opt ) and combo-Tanimoto (ComboT CT-opt ).
Based on those studies [ 21, 32, 34- 38, 90], a current estimation of the global extant population size of each of the three clusters could be evaluated at about 90,000, 4000 and 50,000 individuals for the N, S and C clusters, respectively (Table 1).
