After condemning abuses of monks by the junta, the statement declares: "The clergy boycotts the violent, mean, cruel, ruthless, pitiless kings, the great thieves who live by stealing from the national treasury.
The statement declares: "All human beings are created in the image of God and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect... Embarrassing, harassing or demeaning someone with a homosexual orientation or same-sex attraction is a violation of Torah prohibitions that embody the deepest values of Judaism".
"The cabinet declares its rejection of Dr. Morsi's speech and his pushing the country toward a civil war," the statement declared.
"Simply put," the statement declared, "Walter Hewlett is again attempting to mislead investors -- but worse than his usual flip-flop, it is plainly deceptive".
"Just as the Noor Party rejects the assault on civilians and the negative effects it has for all Muslims of Europe, it also rejects this barbaric, irresponsible act under the name of freedom of expression," the statement declared.
"The conviction and culture of the Egyptian armed forces doesn't allow following the policy of 'military coups,' " the statement declared, though a military coup brought Col. Gamal Abdel Nasser to power 60 years ago.
The statement declared that "It is in the interest of the very survival of humanity that nuclear weapons are never used again, under any circumstances," and that the only guarantee for that is their total elimination.
The statement declared that North Korea's claim that it was entitled to nuclear weapons violated its agreements under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, and it urged North Korea "to give up any nuclear weapons program, expeditiously and in a verifiable manner".
"The armed forces are committed to sponsor the legitimate demands of the people," the statement declared, and the military promised to ensure the fulfillment of its promises "within defined time frames" until authority could be passed to a "free democratic community that the people aspire to".
The statement declared that the supreme command would issue laws in the transitional period before elections and that Egypt's defense minister, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, would represent the country, in a sign that the 75-year-old loyalist of Mr. Mubarak's had emerged to the forefront.
The new government holds the Muslim Brotherhood, the main Islamist group backing Mr. Morsi, "fully responsible for the failure of these efforts and the subsequent events that may result from this failure regarding breaking the law and endangering the social peace," the statement declared.
