He brimmed with banter, noting that he shared a birthday with an Associated Press reporter on hand and observing, "The amazing thing is, we'll have our birthday on the same day again next year".
The book is by Danny Rubin, who devised the story, in which Connors must relive the same day again and again after he is dispatched to cover the eponymous event in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
