The CD-ROMs, in general, will contain the complete data for all requested datasets and a roadmap that describes the organization of the files on the CD-ROMs.
Unfortunately, biology journals are often lax about enforcing requirements that authors make their data readily available, and we have been unable to obtain certain requested datasets.
The public have always been able to request datasets under the FoI Act, but provisions for their disclosure and conditions for re-use have developed in a piecemeal way.
Full details of the categorisation are in online supplementary appendix 1. Information about use of accident and emergency services, which are largely accessed in an unscheduled way, was not available since the datasets requested relate to scheduled care.

Developers used to be able to inject meaningful data in a sophisticated way to all sorts of web and app products and, most importantly, we used to be able to request big datasets without getting throttled by bandwidth limitations.
In all cases, authors and data holders were contacted in order to request the original datasets.
Sample weights were applied to correct for small deviations from the age and gender quota requested and the annual datasets were pooled.
