While there are set pay levels within different sectors employing AHPs, participants appreciated that incentives could offset some of the discrepancies in remuneration which occur for AHPs working in the government versus the NGO sectors.
Importantly, however, taken as a whole, this literature points out to the existence and relevance of the phenomenon that we call "complex remuneration", which is the fact that health workers earn their living from a variety of sources and activities.
"Growing complexity has contributed to poor alignment between executives, shareholders and the company, sometimes leading to levels of remuneration which are difficult to justify," the report said.
Under that covenant "the UK is obliged to ensure remuneration which guarantees conditions of work to women that are not inferior to those enjoyed by men.
"If you're going to be doing such an important job, you should be paid a reasonable remuneration, which should be the living wage, particularly given that government departments are being told to pay it," he said.
"I don't think you have a chance of that happening here, so you're better to go for the later and some kind of financial remuneration which is re-invested to develop more young players".
Some of the money went for "advice in relation to remuneration," which presumably means consultations on how much executives should be paid.
A spokeswoman noted that "there are clear targets for long-term incentives for executive remuneration" which are set out in the company's annual report.
The latest draft has added, apparently at the last minute, a whole section on managers' remuneration, which seems to have been cut and pasted from similar proposals relating to the banking system.
Section 29 goes on to say that non-charitable professional trustees are entitled to "reasonable remuneration" which will be a sum that the court thinks is comensurate to the work done, along the principles of quantum meruit.
