For the ∊TD/∊RD= 1.5 strain path, whilst lattice strain accumulates most rapidly in the ∊TD direction during early stages of plastic deformation, the lattice strain is shown to distribute almost perfectly isotropically for the observed orientations when plastic strain is high.
The observed orientations are obtained from imaging logging (FMI technology) data, which are shown as rose diagrams in the figures.
Our approach is to compare the observed orientations from the different stress indicators with the calculated (modeled) stress orientations.
The modeled stress orientations match the observed orientations within the well Sauerlach Th1 if either SH-dir. is N 320°E in a strike-slip regime or SH-dir. is N 10°E in a normal faulting regime.
It seems that the observed orientations at sites No. 6 and No. 7 are difficult to be fitted by the calculations for all the parameters, because the measured stress directions are in the sense of a right-lateral slip on the Zemuhe fault.
To this purpose, we defined Gaussian prior distributions on the rotations and translations of the video frames, and centered these distributions at the observed orientations for alignments with the corresponding 16-frame average particles.

The observed orientation was particularly high for draw ratios higher than 3.
The changes could be understood by taking the observed orientation gradients and anisotropic movement of grain boundaries into account.
The model bridges intrinsic energy barriers and different deformation mechanisms and beautifully resolves the complexity of the observed orientation-dependent deformation mechanisms.
Detailed analysis of the experimental stress and texture data indicates that the observed orientation anisotropy was caused by the selective phase transformation that occurred during cold rolling.
