Described as the first comprehensive display of the historic flags of Texas, this show, one of three new exhibitions on view at the museum, will run through April 28.

USC and museum officials described the new relationship as an "alliance" and a "partnership" in a written announcement Monday, but Robert Cooper, the university's vice provost, said in an interview that the existing independent nonprofit board that runs the museum will cede full control to the university starting next month.

To mark Women's History Month, the museum will also show a documentary film, "Running Down a Dream," about the basketball career of a girl from stardom at a Long Island high school to her decision to attend the University of California at Los Angeles.

To make up for the limited duration of the exhibition (which was originally scheduled to run through June), the museum will be open seven days a week for extended hours, including until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The couple, who expect to run the cafeteria at the museum, will serve cassoulet, meat pies, maple pies and snacks.
