At a depth of −1500 m asl (Fig. 6b), modelled temperatures range between 10 and 90 °C, though most parts of the model area are not warmer than 50 °C.
A special landscape-ecological map has been compiled for the model area.
The practical solution is applied to the model area of the Trkmanka catchment area.
Examples are presented of changes affecting the structure of the landscape, the threat of erosion, elimination of flood conditions and the quality of life in the model area.
New options and strategies are presented for the use of a land consolidation database for projects in any planning, optimizing and development activity to be performed by any expert who enters the model area with her/his own opinions.
The model was auto-calibrated for the period 1996 2002 against daily observations of groundwater head from wells distributed across the 7230 km2 region and actual evapotranspiration measured at an agricultural station located within the model area.
The model area exposed to cold high-latitude atmospheric conditions thus being most decisive for a realistic representation of the long-term deep-ocean properties, suggests that high-latitude coastlines are definitely in need of being represented at high resolution, including ice sheets and their effects on the heat and freshwater flux for the ocean.
