The similar level of particulate matter observed between the MAb1 drug substance after 3 days and >6-years storage in pre-filled syringes at 2 8°C show that the increase in particle counts observed by light obscuration and flow microscopy in pre-filled syringes can be attributed to silicon oil droplets and not particulate matter (proteinaceous or not).
The changes in gray matter observed in mindful meditators correspond to emotional and behavioral improvements, including decreased anxiety, decreased risk of depression relapse, decreased insomnia, and increased compassion (See "Interactive Multimedia").
As such, the effects of particulate matter observed in this article could be seen as intentional exaggeration where in real materials the effect is likely going to be less pronounced.
At this high γ-irradiation dose and after 2 months of incubation, the NB derived from γ-HS produced round aggregated particles of larger sizes with diameters around 500 nm, an observation which may be attributed to the extensive precipitation of particulate matter observed in this solution prior to incubation (Fig. 1A, HS row, "50 kGy").
The ischemic threshold for white matter (~20 ml∙100 g-1∙min−1) is lower than that for grey matter (~35 ml∙100 g−1∙min−1) [ 78], a difference that might have resulted in the TUNEL-positive ipsilateral cortex and striatum, but TUNEL-negative ipsilateral subcortical white matter observed in the rat MCAO model (Fig. 3b).
Similarly, the disproportionately increased radiate white matter observed by Herbert et al. (Herbert et al. 2003, 2004) supports this hypothesis because the radiate white matter contains predominantly short association fibers whereas deep white matter predominantly contains long tracts.
The similar level of particulate matter observed between MAb1 drug substance stored in vials and stored in pre-filled syringes indicates that the silicon oil was indeed not visible on the filter.
Our data provide new evidences indicating that myelin is the predominant source of susceptibility differences between deep gray and white matter observed in magnetic resonance imaging.
The same group also demonstrated a co-localization of cytosolic HDAC1 and SMI-32 in axons within demyelinated white matter, observed in human MS brain tissue [ 78].
