The fitted component curves (Al2O3, red line) in Figure 4b show that O-Al-O bonds have a higher occupation area than Al-OH bonds (Al-OH, blue line) in the PE-ALD-deposited film, and the area ratio (A Al2O3/A Al-OH) increases from 3 2 to 3 1 after annealing.
This case study particularly demonstrated the value of the direct spectral fitting as a tool for the validation of rank-deficient kinetic mechanisms, as inherent contributions within the fitted component spectra, due to the definition of uncoloured species, can be systematically addressed.
Genes were assigned to either component based on the intersection of the fitted component curves at 0.46.
This gives two values for each assembly component, i.e. the shift and rotation angle needed to superpose the fitted component onto the native one.
Means for the fitted component curves were estimated as 0.36 for the low-CpGO/E component and 0.74 for the high-CpGO/E component.
