Result of this study help us better understand the evolution of project management as a field of practice and an academic discipline, and allow us to provide suggestions for future project management research opportunities.
Between 1970 and 2009, 195 bilateral and multilateral AWM projects were implemented in Burkina Faso, corresponding to an investment of US$6411 million.The study of the evolution of these projects allows one to assess the reasons for their success or failure.
Finally, we have analysed whether it is realizable at acceptable costs (in terms of development effort) in comparison to the overall development efforts roughly spent on the evolution of the projects in focus.
