Even though the land-use planning cannot be completed without involving the stakeholders' preferences, we conclude that the workflow described in this paper produced valuable information on the overlaps and tradeoffs of the ESs for the related decision support.
In [15], the ability of ESS to increase the amount of wind energy accepted onto a network is assessed and an analysis is conducted to determine the cost of produced energy through the ESS for a number of scenarios.
Therefore, after dialogue between numerous stakeholders, a collaborative, profitable plan was developed to use the ESS for multiple purposes, such as voltage stabilisation and peak shaving on the external electrical grid [31].
Comparing the dc link voltage shown in Figs. 7a and 15b, it is seen that for the same LSC dc voltage control bandwidth, the use of the ESS for dc voltage control increases the overall control bandwidth of the dc voltage, and thus results in lower fluctuation of the dc link voltage.
This is the reason why the size is relatively bigger for this ESS than from the one before, as every ESS so far starts its working period optimally charged, the ESS for this case had to be almost entirely charged (due to the PtG load) and that affected the number of RES, making it higher.
However, the ESS for these analyses was not run until the ESS was greater than 200, unless otherwise noted.
