There was always a good deal of truth in the coalition claim that the UK economy never suffered a double dip recession, let alone a triple dip, in the sense that the dips pointed to a slump akin to 2008's; but this also means the rise we see now cannot justifiably be trumpeted as a sustained recovery.
If the source locates around the up-dip point, as shown in Fig. 4(c), the eastward displacement at Ka-maishi must be followed by that at Miyako with a few seconds delay.
However, the basinward-dipping point bar strata can be attributed to widespread down-valley translation of point bars in confined north-south oriented valleys, which have previously been delineated in the region.
These flat-lying beds lie directly on top of the gently dipping Point Loma and Cabrillo formations.
However, previous studies with the DIP-Questionnaire point to the opposite, i.e., the instrument has a somewhat better sensitivity than specificity, leading to a slight overreporting of symptoms compared with diagnostic interviews [ 60].
However, since the fault ruptured over several hundred kilometers down-dip over a portion of the slab with significant variation in dip, a strict interpretation of the dip of a point source is not meaningful.
The quantitative reproducibility is limited (comparing experiment 10 and experiment 11, sample 1), but the inhomogeneity effect is obvious in all samples: The CO2 concentration is higher at the dip tube measuring point, close to the bottom of the reactor, despite simultaneous sampling.
The dip is the lowest point, the point when many give up.
