TOOKER ALLEY With this bar, Del Pedro, formerly of Pegu Club, pays homage to the Dil Pickle Club, a largely forgotten bohemian haunt of the early 20th century on Tooker Alley in Chicago.
The latest even has a retro-sounding name, Tooker Alley, which, it turns out, is named after the Chicago street that led to the Dil Pickle Club, a famed freethinker's hangout.
During the early years, Jones started a press, which did odd jobs for hire and produced promotional materials such as The Dil Pickler newsletter, the short-lived bulletin The Creative World, and Jones's technocratic book Tech-Up (1933).
