This retrospective study, with the largest cohort of patients and longest follow-up time of any single institution in the United States to date, analyzed the relationship between the BRAF mutation and PTC.
The dates were analyzed by t test, Fisher criteria.
All the studies performed to date analyzed differences between melanoma cell lines [ 11, 12], between melanocytes and PCMs [ 13], PCMs from different stages and/or PCMs and metastatic tumors [ 10, 14- 19].
Most of the studies to date analyzing the profile of antibodies to MUC1 have used ELISA assays, generally detecting all Ig antibodies to the unglycosylated form of the mucin, or undefined glycoforms [ 1- 3, 11, 12].

Limitations of this meta-analysis include homogeneity of participants (mostly made up of European heritage), heterogeneity of omega-3 compounds (made up of varying ratios of EPA/DHA fatty acids) and publication date of the analyzed studies (some dated back to the 1980s).
