Although respondents thought the concept of the framework was useful, they stated that staff in LMICs often work across several roles and levels, and thus, the framework would need to be somewhat flexible.
These subthemes are, accidentally, in line with the concepts of the Expanded Chronic Care Model, a framework that can be used to optimize the provision of care for patients with chronic diseases, to decrease the burden of the disease and to prevent its occurrence through population based health promotion [ 10].
Finally, an example prototype system is implemented to demonstrate the concept of the proposed framework.
