From the API kit analysis, species of bacteria identified come from heterotrophic bacteria (Aeromonas hydrophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and also anaerobic bacteria, Vibrio sp. (ex. V. fluvialis).
In the soil-type based analysis, species were grouped according to the substrate on which they were found (five groups – limestone, serpentine, schist, ultramafic rock and volcanic rock).
For the subsidiary analysis, species-level terminals were likewise synonymised to family-level, except that carnivorans and primates were synonymised to order-level, as in LEA.
This can be done on a focal species to establish the genotype phenotype relationship before expanding the analysis across species.
