To account for this selection bias, we compared the performance of the 'proposed' algorithm with the ESC/ERS guidelines on the same cohort; we also evaluated the performance of the proposed algorithm using an alternate case scenario analysis estimating the prevalence of PAH at 10% [ 22].
And so, Israel chose to make an alternate case -- that the GOP brand is far more toxic than any one law.
Our alternate case scenario analysis showed that in the case where the prevalence was set at 10%, the PPVs decreased significantly to lower than 20%, although the NPVs were still very high.
So, assuming a prevalence of PAH of 10%, we performed an alternate case scenario analysis, using the point estimates of sensitivity and specificity determined above.
