I was accused of falsifying my drug-testing return figures because the results were so good.
"We're using tests to figure out how kids will test on tests," said Jane Hirschmann, the founder and co-chairwoman of Time Out From Testing, an anti-testing group that sponsored the news conference.
This iterative feedback/revision process began with an initial prototype followed by the development of a revised prototype after the first set of focus groups and a beta prototype after the second set, culminating in a clinical prototype following the final review and pilot-testing phase (see Figure 1).

To paraphrase the Financial Stability Plan: –Stress-Testing: We are going to figure out which of the banks (starting with the big ones) are solvent and likely to remain solvent in the face of further economic chaos over the next two years.
By introducing a hypothesis-testing step, the d derived from Figure 2 now varies systematically with the number of subjects enrolled in the study (and the number of mixtures tested), and with the choice of significance criterion α.
Figure 9 shows the CTOD-testing process, which starts with cooling down the specimen to a few degrees below the testing temperature, e.g., if the intended testing temperature is −60 °C, the specimen is cooled down to about −62 °C.
There are three HIV testing-related outcomes: 1) HIV-negative, 2) HIV-infected, but not tested or linked to HIV care and therefore not treated, and 3) HIV-infected, tested, linked to care, and treated (Figure S1).
Despite this, in 2003, market researchers reported that "almost six in ten Britons diagnose themselves at home with self-testing equipment instead of going to the doctor" [ 8], although this figure does include thermometers as a self-test device.
