The scale of diagnostic capability in laboratories varies widely, and a range of diagnostic tests (electron microscopy, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction [RT-PCR], and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) and characterization methods are used (including heteroduplex mobility assay, reverse line blot, microplate hybridization, and sequencing (7 – 9 ).
The modified rABS were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), mechanical properties testing, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA).
