For classification of SIS and 'internal posterio-superior glenoid impingement', a group of four tests is performed (Jobe's test, Neer's test, Hawkins' test and the Apprehension test).
At 3, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months, the stability of the shoulder was tested using the apprehension test and the sulcus sign.
The clinical examination will include tests for impingement [ 10], pain or weakness on isometric tests of abduction and external rotation [ 11, 12], tests for apprehension and relocation [ 13], scapular dyskinesis [ 14], and arthritis of the acromioclavicular joint [ 15].

Patients should have at least one positive sign of a SLAP lesion (positive O'Brien test [ 7], positive Crank test [ 8], or painful apprehension test [ 9]).
Physical examination included ROM in both shoulders and instability signs (apprehension test and relocation test).
They fulfil at least three of the following criteria: history of gleno-humeral dislocation, history of sense of instability, positive apprehension test, positive relocation test, glenohumeral translation, positive sulcus sign [ 29], positive jerktest [ 31], positive hyperabduction test [ 32], labral lesion on MRI, capsular lesion or laxity on MRI.
On clinical examination, patella alta and positive apprehension test were noted on both sides.
Shoulder stability is best assessed with the apprehension test, followed by the relocation test.
