The Wald test was used to test contrasts between the coefficients for the different levels of renal remission (active disease, partial remission and complete remission).
This approach permitted the automatic analysis and view of cortical surface and a significant (threshold of p<0.05) t-test contrast between TNP and HC groups, which could be mapped back from the average brain to each individual brain (Figure 1).

As shown in Figure 3a, along the first axis, the test demonstrates the contrast between high Ki67/p53+ tumors (upper right quadrant) and LA low Ki67/p53- tumors (lower left quadrant), suggesting that these two groups represent biopathologically and statistically distinct entities as their defining parameters appear close to each other directly, far from the origin, and diagonally opposite.
The gene set can be tested in any contrast between the coefficients, not necessarily a simple comparison between two groups.
