And these tents have stone bath tubs, open-air showers, terraces, designer furnishings, heavenly beds and views overlooking a little-visited corner of the northern savannah lands that are quite simply out of this world.

The exhibition will also include a huge show called "New Persona/New Universe" filling the cavernous Leopolda train station; pavilions, built on the terraces of Forte Belvedere, designed by Arata Isozaki, featuring designer and artist collaborations, and shows elsewhere dedicated to the photographer Bruce Weber, Elton John's style and designer Emilio Pucci.
On an adjoining vine-covered terrace, laid out with the Italian designer Loredana Bonora's colorful resin-covered tables and chairs, Tenti serves her clients hearty Tuscan dinners of ribollito and crostini neri that she cooks in the fireplace.
"I wish they'd pass a law," said Rebecca Cole, a designer of high-end backyard, terrace and rooftop gardens, "that if you have outdoor space you have to put something on it because the rest of us want it".
The triumph is the big, airy open-plan lounge-diner: sit in a designer chair looking at the terrace through picture windows, breakfast on organic produce, or help yourself to a drink from the honesty bar.
