The term "best" would have to stretch.
Of course, the term "best picture" at the Oscars is usually best-picture-with-an-asterisk, hardly ever the actual best movie of the year.
Nowadays, I know that the satires are sometimes more worthwhile than the movies, and the term "best picture" is all but meaningless.
Regardless, I cannot bring myself to call him my best friend; it feels terribly cliched and I haven't used the term "best friend" to describe anyone in my life, even my closest friends, for years.
From my experience of Comment is free, there is a widespread assumption here that imperialism is a term best used to describe the overthrow of oppressive regimes by British and American forces.
The theory goes that one day many decades ago, some movie grip must have said, "I need serious help -- get me the best boy you've got," and the term best boy was born.

I think that term best-describes what they do.
While sales have been slow and steady since publication, the term "best-seller," or probably even good seller is in no way applicable.
