We used a scanner-specific customized GM anatomical template and prior probability maps of GM and white matter (WM) images created from T1WIs taken using the same scanner employed in our previous study (Takeuchi et al. 2010b).
An optimized method of VBM was applied using both customized templates and prior probability maps, implemented using SPM5.

These normalized images were segmented again using the MNI305 template and spatial priors, and averages of the 51 T1 images, as well as corresponding GM, white matter and CSF averages from the segmentation output.
We believe these differences would be exacerbated in VBM analyses, which depends both on the transformation of voxels from the participants to the normative template and the segmenting priors from the template.
Despite of this, we used 2-propanol as a pore forming agent in our non-covalent imprinting polymerization system as we found it was advantageous for a good solubility of the template and the monomers prior to polymerization and because of positive effects on pore formation.
Biotin-labelled cRNA was subsequently synthesized on cDNA templates and fragmented prior to hybridization to Affymetrix GeneChip HG-U133 plus 2 slides following the manufacturer's recommendations (Affymetrix, Santa Clara, CA, USA).
Most other issues (called out by tags such as {{ format }}, {{ stub }}, {{ copyedit }}, {{ cleanup }} and several others) should be addressed and the template removed prior to marking as a Rising Star.
