During evaluation, information about the best template found for each pair (i,j) is kept as this enables us to recall the selected templates after an optimal pagination has been found by the main algorithm.
Templates of an optimal size for sequencing (~150-250 bp) were selected by sizing DNA on agarose gels, followed by excision and elution of DNA.
