The IETF handover keying working group (HOKEY WG) [4] is currently developing solutions to provide a secure, MIH, also called inter-technology handover.
Taking all of the above into consideration, we selected a specific scenario and present our contribution providing an intra-technology handover strategy that not only satisfies the IEEE 802.16 standard specification for broadband wireless communication technology, but also benefits from the railway scenario.
