On his Facebook profile, Abdaly's likes are a mixture of Islamic and technological – "I'm a Muslim and I'm proud", "the Islamic Caliphate state", "Yawm al-Qiyamaah [the Islamic day of judgment]", but also "I love my Apple iPad".
But "once I became an agent for Panasonic in 1953, I saw Japan's technological advancement and I was very impressed," he says.
Most translations today are technological, whereas I'm referring to literary translations: the translation of texts that concern individual experience.
Like most citizens of our modern, technological world, I am wholly reliant upon a fragile web of services to meet my most basic needs.

But beyond the technological scale issues, the reason I was getting at the unified notifier concept is because I think as humans we have these issues.
