High on their list is that ESEA "should require states to take proactive, evidence-based measures on behalf of students who are struggling...Interventions should include helping struggling schools invest in targeted, evidence-based, teacher-led training and development that will improve the effectiveness of educators".
In Trial 2, the impact of teacher-led training on end-of-year school assessments was evaluated with children with poor academic performance.
The startup wants to create a live, global and digital English school, starting with the launch of its teacher-led, group video chat classes, personalized skill training and private tutoring.
The interventions consisted of three components: a teacher-led, peer-assisted primary school health education on AIDS programme, training health workers to encourage youth friendly reproductive health services, youth condom promotion/distribution and community mobilisation [ 14].
In addition to training CHWs to provide YFHS, the project launched community activities, teacher-led, peer-assisted sexual health education in levels 5 to 7 of primary school, and peer condom social marketing.
In brief, from 1998-2001, teacher-led peer-assisted ASRH education, youth friendly services and community activities were implemented after in-depth training and with continued supervision from an NGO with over 50 years experience of developing and implementing public health interventions across Africa.
However, instead of training different ways of relating to these experiences through meditation, CPE informs participants about these processes through teacher-led presentations and group discussions.
The programme consisted of four components: limited community mobilization; a teacher-led, peer-assisted curriculum of 10 15 40-min sessions per year for the three upper years of primary school (http://www.memakwavijana.org); training and supervision of health facility clinicians to encourage youth friendliness; and the marketing of subsidised condoms by out-of-school youth [ 11, 12].
Teachers planned everything; it was very much teacher-led.
