On Friday he was transferred for a week to the hospital's rehabilitation unit, where he was taught exercises to perform once he got home.
The meeting, called "A Profound Discussion of Peace and Social Change," focused less on theory and more on practicality; the swami taught exercises on how to bring inner peace to the tumultuous environments many at Homeboy know.
The participant performs the previously taught exercises and the physiotherapist corrects the performance if necessary.
Participants in the exercise groups were taught exercises designed to strengthen the quadriceps (thigh) muscles and included resistance exercises, some of which were taught with rubber exercise (dyno) bands of varying strength.
He is taught exercises which he thoroughly understands by the time he leaves the hospital and which he carries on at home.
