There, he met a sculpture teacher who also taught at the Educational Alliance, on the Lower East Side, a beneficiary of UJA-Federation of New York, one of seven charities supported by The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund.
"The surprise stems from thinking that, as these subjects are taught at school, differences in educational achievement are primarily due to differences in teaching," they added.
The rally, followed by a march on campus and on High Street, brought to live action the ideas taught at the fall and winter teach-ins and educational events.
"Every single educational facility I have ever taught at is now either bombed, burned, or destroyed," he told me.
